A morning to early afternoon invitation to
“Meet” the château
Join us for a day on the estate, welcoming you into our home as yours.
As first time guests, we would begin by discovering the estate and the château together - guided by your preferences - and sharing stories as well as History along the way.
We then would pause for lunch, choosing the most agreeable spot according to time and day.
Each is then at liberty to stroll and explore at leisure, nap, bring an easel, a book, their work, or an instrument to practice (or play on our piano if that is your favored instrument), or continue with our conversations. That is to say, we invite you to engage in some of what we call our pillars of life on the estate.
For centuries, Burgundy has been more than a land of exceptional wines and breathtaking landscapes - it has been a place of passion and spirituality, a place where minds have expanded, ideas have flourished, and craftsmanship has reached some of its highest expression.
The same conditions that nurtured Eiffel’s vision, Pasteur’s discoveries, and Rameau’s innovation may still exist today: a rhythm of life that balances refinement with purpose, indulgence with depth, and a profound connection to nature that keeps us grounded.
Lantenay is part of this continuum - visit to witness this expression and experience firsthand the environment that has shaped great consciousness and elevated living for generations: to explore, to create, and refine.
A late afternoon to early evening invitation to close the day
at the château
Join us from late afternoon until sundown, at this softer, more contemplative hour, as we celebrate the day on the estate in a quiet farewell.
We welcome you with a private introduction to the estate and its stories, followed by time to linger as the day softens into evening. The south terrace, overlooking the valley, becomes our setting - soothingly spectacular as the light fades. In case of inclement weather, the château’s neo-gothic dining room offers a unique alternative.
You, the château, its park, the vast skies of Burgundy, and the delight of being in an extraordinary setting.
As the sun sets and the valley seems to turn into a painting, make the terrace your own for an evening both intimate and timeless.
Sharing this beloved place,
just as it is.
We cannot, for now, offer elaborate meals cooked on premises or wine service, and the estate still bears the marks of time. But you will find these visits, while modest in scope, rich in discovery, individuality and sincerity.
Enjoy an artisanal cheese and charcuterie platter by local farms, or you may arrange to bring your own picnic or gourmet meal.
Each invitation accommodates no more than 8 guests to preserve truly personal exchanges and immersion.
With 16 hectares and varied outdoor sitting areas, you can therefore be assured of tranquility.
